From June 3 – 28, Cheryl Gutmaker, the talented glass artist behind The Lady’s Got Glass, is pleased to announce her first solo show, Painting With Glass, at the Valley Artisan’s Market. Cheryl has been an active member of VAM since 2008.
While generally geared toward “beautiful functionality,” this solo show has given Cheryl the opportunity to highlight her first paintings, art pieces which use fused, crushed glass to create painterly landscapes and portraits. This is a striking marriage of her passion for glass artistry, and her recent foray into a new medium, watercolor painting.
Cheryl’s work has been featured in galleries, brick-and-mortar businesses, co-ops, and juried art shows across New York and Vermont. She has enjoyed international success as well, with a commissioned piece on display in Saga City, Japan!
