These recent small still life paintings are an attempt to distill the genre to it’s most basic elements – a few simple objects arranged on a 
table. The objects are depicted with careful observation and rendering, using traditional oil painting techniques. Light and shade, shadow and reflection are key components in each composition.
Clarence King studied art history at New York University and has a Masters Degree in painting from The University at Albany.
